MT. SAC Athletic Teams Moving On to Playoffs

The 2007 Mt. SAC Athletics Season has started off with a BIG BANG!

Four fall sports have captured their respective Conference Championships and 5 coaches have been named Conference Coaches of the Year.

This Saturday, two teams will be competing in the Southern California Playoffs. The Men's Football Team will be taking on Antelope Valley at 6:00 p.m. here on campus at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in the Mission Conference National Bowl. The Mounties are currently ranked #3 in Southern California with a record of (7-2). Their opponents, the Marauders, are ranked #6 in Southern California and boast a record of 9 wins and 1 loss.

The #8-ranked Women's Soccer Team will be taking on #9 Bakersfield College at home on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in first-round action of the Southern California Championship.

The undefeated and top-ranked Men's Soccer Team will receive a bye in first-round action and will take on the winner of the Santiago Canyon (#8)/Southwestern (#9) game on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6:00 p.m. here at home.

Tickets for each of these events are available for purchase at the gate and are $8 for adults and $5 for students/staffs/seniors and children 5-12 years old.
