African American Song 50,000 tracks of music including jazz, blues, gospel, and other forms of African American musical expression. It is a resource to document the history of African American music in the form of an online music listening service. Some limited information on Artist by viewing "Liner notes." (when available)

American History in Video Provides the largest and richest collection of video available online for the study of American history, with 2,000 hours and more than 5,000 titles on completion. The collection allows students and researchers to analyze historical events, and the presentation of historical events over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries. This release includes over 1260 titles, equaling approximately 420 hours.

History Reference Center History Reference Center is a full text history reference database featuring full text for more than 2,400 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books as well as full text for more than 130 leading history periodicals. Also included are more than 61,100 historical documents; more than 66,000 biographies of historical figures; more than 110,200 historical photos and maps; and more than 80 hours of historical video.

History Resource Center: US (Gale) History Resource Center: U.S. provides integrated access to over 4,000 historical (primary) documents, articles from more than 30 reference titles, and over 110 full-text journal covering themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present. The material also includes citations from over 180 additional history journals from the Institute for Scientific Information's Arts and Humanities Citation Index, as well as the entire "American Journey Online" series.

Literature Resource Center

Literary criticism and biography on notable authors.

MagillOnLiterature Plus (EBSCOhost) If you are looking for background information, overviews, plot summaries, and biographical information about authors this is a good starting point. Sources included are reference materials such as Masterplots and literature encyclopedias. Makes a good study aid but does not include magazine and journal articles. For literary criticism published in journals, try Literature Online (LION), Project Muse, or JSTOR. The Library has many more resources related to literary studies, so check with a librarian to explore more.

Project Muse® The Project MUSE® complete collection offers a comprehensive selection of prestigious humanities, arts, and social sciences journals to support a core liberal arts curriculum at any academic institution. U.S. History Collection (Gale) This collection provides coverage of the current thinking and events in U.S. History, as well as scholarly work being established in the field. This compilation of over 40 journals provides robust and balanced coverage of the field.

World History Collection (Gale) This collection of nearly 40 predominantly full-text journals provides balanced coverage of events in World History. It is useful both to the novice historian and to the advanced academic researcher.
