Course Proposal |
Kerry Stern, Dwight Ayle, Terri Beam, Jill Wilkerson, and Vic Zamora met with Jim Smith in Kerry’s office on Tuesday, March 19, to review the hybrid course COUN 5, Career/Life Planning. |
Course was approved for delivery in Fall 2002. |

Lotus Notes |
Mark Fernandez reported that EMT has adopted a campus-wide strategy to use Lotus Notes for email and calendar scheduling. |
Dwight will meet with IET to determine how Lotus Notes would integrate into online classes. A Lotus Notes demonstration will be scheduled. |

Course Management Systems Update |
Members of the CMS Task Group attended workshops on Web CT and Blackboard on March 11 and April 5. Dwight now has Angel accounts set up in the OLSC, and Terri will post to the listserv the best times for dropping in to view the system. |
At the end of April, the CMS Task Group will review all responses regarding the course management systems that were studied. |

Distance Learning Strategic Two Year Plan |
Terri reported that the Academic Senate asked for the following to be completed before the Distance Learning Moratorium will be lifted: 1) Faculty support plan, 2) Student support plan, 3) Growth projections, and 4) Quality/Strategic plan. Faculty Association will need to address bargaining issues. |
Faculty support plan was drafted, and student support plan will be worked on at the next meeting. |
