Terri Beam stated that the new Distance Learning resolution is still in discussion.
Terri will relate the EDC’s views regarding the resolution at the next Academic Senate meeting.
Introduction to Online Learning
The class is full and has a waiting list.
12 students are enrolled and four are on the waiting list – more books will be ordered.
CVC Conference
The pre-registration deadline is October 1.

Drafts of the Distance Learning Course Proposal form and the Distance Learning Course Development Guide for Instructors and Departments were presented. Terri Beam explained the reasons for the new changes.
Many modifications were made, and new drafts will be brought to the next meeting for review.
Best Practices Retreat
An EDC faculty representative is needed to meet with a Staff Development adhoc group on best practices for the college.
Tom McFarland has been contacted, and Terri is waiting for his reply.
