Distance Learning Course Amendment

This form was approved by Academic Senate in October 2010.
All faculty wishing to adapt a traditional course for distance
learning delivery must use this form for this process.
Submit the completed DL Form to the Online Learning Faculty

Distance Learning Committee approval before obtaining Department, Division and Educational
Design Committee approval. |

Certification for Online Teaching (SPOT)
All instructors must complete
the Certification for Online Teaching process in order to teach an
online or online-supported (hybrid) class. A web site,
Skills and Pedagogy for Online Teaching (SPOT) details the Certification for Online
Teaching process. If you have questions, contact the SPOT
facilitators Mary
Johnson, x6369 (Online Learning Faculty
Coordinator) or Paul Kittle, x4258,
(Distance Learning/Electronic Reference Librarian).

Evaluation Forms
for Distance Learning Faculty
Newly approved forms for Student Evaluations and Classroom Visitation
are now available at the
Mt.
SAC Employee website. The new forms are:

Student Evaluation of Distance Learning Faculty
- H.4.c CLASSROOM - DL
Classroom Visitation of Distance Learning Faculty
Faculty should become familiar with these
forms as they will be used from now on. Instructions for using

Blackboard Training
& Other DL-related Workshops
Many workshops offerings are available to all faculty,
staff and administrators
through Professional & Organizational Development (POD). Visit

Online
Learning Support Center (OLSC)
Faculty are welcome to visit the OLSC for personal support on any
Distance Learning issue. The OLSC is located in LTC-262 (enter on
the south side of the building, ascend the left stairs, and the OLSC
is to the left at the top of the stairs). Personnel there who can
help you are:
