| Upon completion of this
program, the graduate will be functional in sign
language and will be able to interpret in a variety
of situations. The program provides an overview of
the Deaf community, careers working with deaf people,
teaches American Sign Language, offers specific interpreting
courses, and includes training in the ethics and
practical approaches that must be understood by a
practicing interpreter. To remain in the program,
students must maintain a “C” or better
grade in all courses. |
