The Humanities
and Social Sciences Division is
the largest of the instructional organizations at Mt.
SAC. Its numerous academic programs offer students
a broad selection of general education courses in language
arts (English, American Sign Language, and foreign
languages), literature, history, art history, geography,
communications, journalism, political science, philosophy,
psychology, education, and sociology.
This Division also houses the Honors program for the
College as well as the Study Abroad program.
Along with its academic programs, the Humanities Division
also provides a number of student resources and technology
to help students succeed, such as tutoring, the Writing
Center, and the Speech & Sign Center.
