Honors Ambassadors

 

The Honors Ambassadors organizes social, educational, and service events for Honors students. Past events have included game nights, bowling night, films, visiting the Getty Center, and development of an Honors Scholarship. Honors Ambassadors promote the Honors Program on campus and at local high schools. Click here for an application.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society

Phi Theta Kappa is the honors society of the two-year colleges. With nearly 1,300 chapters all over the world, it is one of the largest and most active honors societies anywhere.

Members may access $37 million in scholarships, enjoy free enrollment in CollegeFish.org, a transfer and college completion planning tool, free access to Five Star Competitive Edge, a personal and professional development plan for building marketable skills and an online portfolio, the opportunity to be published in Phi Theta Kappa's anthology, Nota Bene, opportunities to develop research and leadership skills, increased pay grade for entry level federal jobs, and personalized letters of recommendation for scholarships and employment.

Membership Requirements

    • 3.5 cumulative GPA
    • Completion of 12 transferable units
    • Obtain application in Honors Center (26A-1680)
    • $85 membership fee
