“general
education courses emphasize
the ability to reason, to
examine issues from different
perspectives, to challenge
authority, and to communicate
ideas logically and confidently”

The goal of General Education
Outcome (GEOs) is to improve
general education curriculum
to the ultimate benefit of our
students. It is through general
education that the college fulfills
its mission to provide quality
transfer, career, and life-long
learning programs that prepare
students with the knowledge
and skills they need to succeed
in an interconnected world.
GEOs are statements that define
the knowledge, skills, and perspectives
acquired by students who satisfy
our general education requirements.
