offer up to seven levels of literacy/ESL instruction, leading
up to the Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) Career
Paths program. |
Literacy & Pre-Level |
| For students with no experience in English. Recognize and use common English words. |

Levels 1 & 2 |
| Develop basic spoken and written English for everyday needs. |
| |
Levels 3 & 4 |
| Increase conversational fluency, vocabulary and grammar accuracy. |
| |
Levels 5 & 6 |
| Focus language learning toward
personal academic and vocational goals. This level prepares
you to advance to VSEL or credit courses. |
| |
VESL Career Paths |
| Combines noncredit, advanced-level ESL with credit, vocational classes to help advance students move into college credit programs at Mt. SAC. |
