Mt. San Antonio College Contract Education provides customized performance-based training, assessment and consulting services designed to assist business, industry, agencies, and other organizations to improve the quality of their products and services and to increase their competitiveness within domestic and international markets.

We specialize in creating training packages that respond to organizational needs with quality training professionals. Our expert consultants and trainers are enthusiastic, experienced and creative developers of innovative classes and materials that engage and assure employee success.

Our solution plans are customized to the needs of you, the employer, and we are available when and where you need us most. Day, evening or weekend classes are available at your site or at our campus.

State-Funded Training

The Employment Training Panel provides financial assistance to California businesses to support customized worker training to: 

•  Attract and retain businesses that contribute to a healthy California economy;
•  Provide workers with secure jobs that pay good wages and have opportunities for advancement;
•  Assist employers to successfully compete in the global economy; and
•  Promote the benefits and ongoing investment in training among employers.

Program Overview

The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is a business and labor supported state agency that assists employers in strengthening their competitive edge by providing funds to off-set the costs of job skills training necessary to maintain high-performance workplaces.

The program is performance-based, providing funds for trainees who successfully complete training and are retained in well-paying jobs for a specific period of time.

The program is funded by the Employment Training Tax paid by California employers, and targets firms threatened by out-of-state and international competition. Employers match training funds awarded by ETP for training existing workers.

   Do you qualify?

• Manufacturer, Assembler, or Processor
• Service provider or Distributor with 25% or more of revenues from customers located outside California
• Service provider to California customers that competes with out-of-California providers
• Headquarters providing support to 25% or more of overall revenue, operations, offices, branches, stores, franchises or employees located outside California
• Hotel, Destination resort, Convention / Conference Center with 25% or more of revenue from out of California visitors
• Call Center with 25% or more of volume originating outside of California

 For all other companies; funding can be paid for trainees whose primary responsibility is to deliver a service, provided the trainee earns at least the State average minimum compensation.
