California Motorcycle Training – Basic Course
This 15-hour course includes 5 hours of lecture time and 10 hours on the range. Students are obligated to comply with all rules and regulations established by Motorcycle Safety Foundation and Mt. San Antonio College.

To take the course a student must hold a valid drivers license, instruction permit or have successfully completed a driver education program. Students must be on time for all sessions and arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of riding sessions - late arrivals will be dismissed from the course without a certificate or refund.   • All students may register online or in-person at Mt. SAC.
  • The scheduled dates and times for classes can be accessed on-line at http://communityed.mtsac.edu or in person in Building 4, Room 221-D.
  • Weekday class participants must park in the meters or pay-lot (all weekday parking is enforced).
    ALL STUDENTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: Parent or legal guardian must accompany student and sign waiver and indemnification forms at the first class meeting.

All lectures are conducted 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. All range classes (actual riding) are held two consecutive days, Tuesday through Sunday.

Drivers Education/Behind the Wheel Training
Drivers Education and Behind the WheelMt. SAC offers a drivers training classroom and behind-the-wheel program that meets DMV requirements for provisional licenses (16-18 years of age). The instruction is given by a DMV licensed driving instructor. This defensive driving program is geared toward safety at all times.

Classroom Session:
The 25 hour classroom course includes the same text and materials used in public high schools and taught by local high school teachers. Current videos will also be included in the learning experience. Students will review new state laws to pass the permit and driving tests. Behind the wheel training will be arranged the last day of classroom instruction.

Behind the Wheel Session:
This portion of the driver's training class is offered to meet California code and DMV requirements.

  • 6 hours of in-the-vehicle training. Students will have at least one other student in the car and will take turns being instructed.
  • Students will be issued a Certificate of Completion of Laboratory Driver's Education upon completing the in-car training.

Traffic Violator School – Adult and Juvenile
Mt. SAC College is licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles to provide this eight-hour course for adults and juveniles. YOU MUST RECEIVE PERMISSION FROM THE COURT of jurisdiction prior to enrolling in this course. Pre-registration is required. Students MUST attend all required hours of instruction in order to receive a certificate at the end of the class.
