As part of Mt. San Antonio College's mission, the CalWORKs (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids) Program, formerly GAIN, was initiated in late 1997. The goal of the CalWORKs Program is to support students who are receiving public assistance to achieve self-sufficiency and individual growth.
The program is designed to assist both unemployed and employed students.

Eligibility
To be eligible for CalWORKs services, a student must be receiving public assistance under the Federal governments Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) Program. Students not receiving TANF benefits may qualify for other non-CalWORKs services.
