The following are the Lab Assistant responsibilities while they are helping students in the ICC lab:
- They are to answer any student questions relating to the operation of the
computer
equipment.
- They will keep the printer operationsal (load paper, remove paper jams, etc).
- They will assist students with basic questions about the use of the
computer software and
computer assignment.
Detailed questions should be directed to the lab instructor on
duty. The lab assistants are not to do your assignments
for you but only to direct you in how
to find the
answers to your questions.
Note: Lab Assistants (wearing a maroon smock) are students
hired to work in the labs and
classrooms and may not be able to answer your specific questions.
Therefore, it is
imperative that you ask your instructor all the
pertinent questions about your assignment(s)
before coming to the lab.
