The mission of the Mt. San Antonio College Child Development Center is to provide an inclusive atmosphere of mutual respect and a foundation for meeting individual needs through developmentally appropriate materials, environments, and curriculum.
At the heart of our early care and education component is the importance of (and emphasis on) stable, responsive relationships between families, teachers, and caregivers - particularly for infants and toddlers.
|
The current "Primary Goals" of the Center are to:
- Provide educational, culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate programs for children that focus on school readiness and success
- To create partnerships that includes and supports families.
- To provide a Child Development laboratory where aspiring educators may interact with and observe children under the guidance of their professor and the mentorship of the lead teachers.
- Advance each child's knowledge of the environment.
- Support the growth of the whole child through interactive play.
- Facilitate the development of self as a unique and competent person.
