The Consumer Science & Design Technologies department offers a variety of certificate programs designed to develop or
enhance vocational proficiency for which certificates are awarded upon completion.
The possession of a certificate is favorably recognized by business and
industry and is frequently a requirement for professional advancement.
As you can see from the table above, the Consumer Science & Design Technologies department offers certificates
in:

- Family and Consumer Science
- Fashion Design and Merchandising
- Hospitality and Restaurant Management
- Interior Design
- Nutrition and Food
|
Students who are in the last semester of a certificate program are advised to:
- Submit an Application for Certificate form in the Admissions Office
- At least 1/2 (half) of the credits earned toward the certificate must be completed at Mt. SAC
- A grade of "C" or better must be earned in each course to be applied to the certificate
