Consumer Science & Design Technologies Certificates
 
   
 

 

The Consumer Science & Design Technologies department offers a variety of certificate programs designed to develop or enhance vocational proficiency for which certificates are awarded upon completion.   The possession of a certificate is favorably recognized by business and industry and is frequently a requirement for professional advancement.   As you can see from the table above, the Consumer Science & Design Technologies department offers certificates in:

  • Family and Consumer Science
  • Fashion Design and Merchandising
  • Hospitality and Restaurant Management
  • Interior Design
  • Nutrition and Food
Students who are in the last semester of a certificate program are advised to:
  • Submit an Application for Certificate form in the Admissions Office
  • At least 1/2 (half) of the credits earned toward the certificate must be completed at Mt. SAC
  • A grade of "C" or better must be earned in each course to be applied to the certificate
