MATH 71B - Intermediate Algebra
                    - Second Half
                    (3 units)
Quadratic equations and graphs; exponents, radicals and logarithms; conic sections.   Covers remaining MATH 71 - Intermediate Algebra  topics at a slower pace.  A student must complete both MATH 71A - Intermediate Algebra - First Half and MATH 71B to have taken the equivalent of MATH 71 - Intermediate Algebra

Prerequisite:   MATH 71A

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate a mastery of the relevant vocabulary.
  2. Accurately simplify expressions involving exponents, radicals and logarithms.
  3. Accurately solve quadratic, logarithmic and radical equations.
  4. Identify and graph conic sections, logarithmic and exponential functions.
  5. Apply equation/inequality solution skills in a variety of applications.
