This course is a review of the fundamentals of English for the student who needs a
practical course focusing on usage and grammar: case, agreement, verbs, verbals,
fragments, shifts in construction, dangling modifiers, diction, parallelism, comma-splice,
and punctuation. Students who repeat this course will improve skills through
further instruction and practice.

Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL 67

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Use corect punctuation in the writing of sentences.
- Use standard English in the construction of sentences.
- Write coherent sentences.
- Express orally or in writing reasons for using particular grammatical constructions in sentences.
- Select and use appropriate language in different contexts.
