ARCH 15 Course Image
This course covers Methods and techniques used in the development of architectural construction documents for light frame structures (Type V construction) including construction theory, practice, and working drawings.  A portfolio will be produced.
(36 hours lecture;   72 hours lab;      Degree appropriate, CSU)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Produce a simple set of working drawings of a light-frame building of "Type V" construction suitable for building department "Plan-check" submittal.
  2. Apply appropriate architectural standards to produce construction drawings.
  3. Apply quality control procedures to produce architectural working drawings (plan/schedule, do preliminary drawing set and check, adjust/correct, review as needed to produce final set).
  4. Develop initial skills in problem solving, coordination and working with others.
  5. Produce a portfolio of working drawings suitable for initial career employment.
