ARCH 11 Course Image
This course covers basic graphic and drawing techniques, including architectural graphics, building construction fundamentals, and methods of drawings considered prerequisite to architectural design.
(36 hours lecture;   72 hours lab;      Degree appropriate, CSU, UC)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Define and use basic architectural nomenclature related to the design of structures.
  2. Perform the various drawing standards and conventions used in architecture.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of building layout using templates and design principles.
  4. Develop an initial portfolio representing basic drawing skills, architectural conventions, descriptive geometry, and 2-D and 3-D perspective drawings.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of construction theory and principles and their application to design.
  6. Define professionalism within the context of the architecture and design profession.
