Design, installation and maintenance practices used in interior landscaping.   Includes identification, culture and care of plants suitable for interior use.

Field trip required.
(54 hours lecture;      Degree applicable)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Identify approximately 120 plants that are used for interior landscapes and describe their cultural requirements, use and adaptability to the interior landscape.
  2. Evaluate layout, design and use of appropriate resources for interior landscapes.
  3. Apply and identify correct irrigation principles and installation practices.
  4. Calculate and estimate bids and costs for an interior design projects.
  5. Determine requirements for special events and holidays.
  6. Recognize and explain the benefits of plants in the interior.
