Projects emphasize residential and small commercial sites.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Create a functional landscape plan, applying correct principles and elements of design.
- Evaluate sites and develop functional designs that meet client criteria.
- Evaluate planting design criteria and select plant materials according to proper environmental considerations and design principles.
- Demonstrate the proper use of drafting tools and graphic materials.
- Assess and critique landscape designs and plans.
- Present a landscape design to a client.
- Identify and describe architectural, historical and environmental influences on landscape design.
- Demonstrate basic skills of landscape estimating and calculations.
- Summarize the qualifications of landscape architects and others who are involved in the designing, planning, installation and maintenance of residential and small commercial landscapes.
- Describe various computer resources used in landscape design.
