This course uses popular desktop publishing software to integrate text and graphics
to design, edit, and produce high-quality business publications.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Define desktop publishing.
- Create various publications through the use of templates or custom design.
- Develop appropriate design aspects for a given publication.
- Manage the flow of publication stories in text boxes.
- Integrate text, graphic objects, and other design elements to create professional-looking business publications.
- Prepare publications for printing.

Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students completing COMP 60 - Business Publications Using Desktop Publishing Software will demonstrate knowledge of the planning guidelines intended to assist them in developing an appropriate design of a given publication.
- Students completing COMP 60 - Business Publications Using Desktop Publishing Software will demonstrate ability to produce a variety of professional-looking business publications (at least five)--i.e. newsletter, flyer, brochure, business card, letterhead, event program, etc.
