This course teaches the student how to use PowerPoint to plan, design, and produce
effective presentations. Includes creating charts, diagrams, and storyboards;
developing appropriate text content; adding sound, animation, and movies.
Students who repeat this course will improve skills through further instruction and practice.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Develop and use a storyboard to layout a presentation.
- Use design templates, AutoWizard and style checker to create a presentation.
- Use outline view to input/edit text for a presentation.
- Incorporate appropriate clipart and transitions into a presentation.
- Create charts, diagrams, and tables.
- Import text, graphics, and charts from other sources into a presentation.
- Create and print appropriate handouts and/or slides.

Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students completing COMP 50 - Desktop Presentations using PowerPoint will be able to create a storyboard to assist them in the design and development of a visual presentation.
- Students completing COMP 50 - Desktop Presentations using PowerPoint will be able to create a visual slide presentation to include text, graphic objects, design theme, slide transition, and object animation.
