This course is an overview and basic instruction using one of the most popular presentation
software packages. Recommended for all students who need to know how to create
presentations. Not recommended for Office Technology majors.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Develop storyboards to plan presentations.
- Create presentations using different methods.
- Create and print audience handouts and speaker notes.
- Use editing techniques to modify and format presentations.
- Use AutoShapes to create graphics.
- Use the insert feature to find and add clipart, sounds and media clips.
- Create charts, organizational charts, and tables.

Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students completing COMP 150 - Basic PowerPoint will be able to create a storyboard to assist them in the design and development of a visual presentation.
- Students completing COMP 150 - Basic PowerPoint will be able to create a visual slide presentation to include text, multimedia items (i.e. sound, movie/video clip, graphic objects), and a design theme.
