Course Measurable Objectives:
- Compare and contrast the differences between retail and manufacturing/design as practiced in Los Angeles and New York.
- Evaluate the differences and similarities in organizational structure and functions between major national retailers.
- Validate the differences between department and specialty store retailing.
- Assess the sources of inspiration used by retailers and designers/manufacturers.
- Measure the differences and similarities between branded and private label merchandise.

- will attend all appointments and be able to exhibit understanding of fashion industry by actively participating with relevant questions.
