This course covers the concepts of designing and implementating a secure network.
The course provides an in-depth coverage of network security design,
implementation and configuration of firewall and VPN in various environments and platforms.
Other topics covered include:
- implementing security with Cisco routers
- firewall log analysis
- IPsec

- Ssh (Secure Shell)
- secure Perimeter design

Lab assignments will provide hands-on practice.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Explain fundamental concepts of network security.
- Demonstrate the skill to install and configure firewall and VPN in various environments and platforms.
- Reveal the ability to set up pptp, 12tp, and other secure client access through the Pix and ISA firewall.
- Implement security with Cisco routers, firewall log analysis, IPsec, Ssh (Secure Shell) and secure Perimeter design.
- Determine appropriate skills for certification test and entry-level positions in the network security industry.
