This course teaches the basics of programmming in the Visual Basic .NET language.
The student learns how to plan and write object-oriented applications using both
Windows Forms and Web Forms.
Topics covered include:
- user interface design
- controls structures
- lists and arrays
- objects, classes, properties, methods, and events

- printing and print previews
- common dialog boxes
- accessing a database

CISB 11 - Computer Information Systems

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Analyze business problems and produce appropriate program designs.
- Know the guidelines for an effective user interface and determine the appropriate situations for their use.
- Recognize proper programming syntax; write programs, locate and correct program errors.
- Write, organize and assemble program documentation.
- Develop a set of standards that will make applications consistent, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

Students completing CISP 11 - Programming in Visual Basic will be able to:
- use decision making statements and loops in order to create a business application using Visual Basic .NET.
- create an object-oriented program using classes.
