This course teaches the concepts of WAN (Wide Area Network) fundamentals.
Topics covered include:
- advanced IP subnet, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, IGP, EGP, and network design
- CISCO configuration of IOS
- router, access list, PPP, and frame relay
- routing protocols (Static Route, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- switching and VLAN

CISN 11 - Telecommunications Networking
or
CISN 24 - Window Server Network & Security Administration

CISN 34 - Linux Operating System

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Explain fundamental concepts of Wan (Wide Area Network), frame relay, PPP, OSI model, TCP/IP, IP subnet, interior gateway protocol, exterior gateway protocol, and internet routing.
- Demonstrate the skills to configure CISCO internet Operating System, router, access list and routing protocol under frame relay, PPP and other WAN environment.
- Demonstrate necessary skills for the CISCO CCNA certification exam.
- Develop and set up NAT (Network Address Translation) and Access List control to design a secured routed network.
- Analyze, compare and contrast various WAN (Wide Area Network) routing protocols.

- configure and setup static routing.
