This course teaches the student how to employ a Windows operating system to manage disks, files and applications.

Topics covered include:
  • creating and editing documents with WordPad and Paint applications
  • analyzing and debugging Windows operating environment problems
  • securing a Windows environment
  • conduct research on the Internet

  1. Organize files and directories on disk
  2. Write and edit documents using Wordpad application
  3. Analyze and debug Windows operating environ- mental problems.
  4. Secure a Windows environment.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to install a networking interface for Windows.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to create a logical printer on Windows

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing CISN 21 - Windows Operating System will be able to:
  1. properly configure Microsoft's operating system to stay secure while interacting with internetworks.
