This course teaches the student how to employ a Windows operating system to manage
disks, files and applications.
Topics covered include:
- creating and editing documents with WordPad and Paint applications
- analyzing and debugging Windows operating environment problems
- securing a Windows environment
- conduct research on the Internet

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Organize files and directories on disk
- Write and edit documents using Wordpad application
- Analyze and debug Windows operating environ- mental problems.
- Secure a Windows environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to install a networking interface for Windows.
- Demonstrate the ability to create a logical printer on Windows

Students completing CISN 21 - Windows Operating System will be able to:
- properly configure Microsoft's operating system to stay secure while interacting with internetworks.
- effectively use the printer configuration utility to install and test a printer device.
