CISB 51 - Microsoft PowerPoint
                   (3.0 units)
This course is an overview and basic instruction using one of the most popular presentation software packages.  Recommended for all students who need to know how to create presentations.  Not recommended for Office Technology majors.
 
(18 hours lecture;     Degree appropriate)
(May be taken for Credit / No Credit.)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Develop storyboards to plan presentations.
  2. Create presentations using different methods.
  3. Create and print audience handouts and speaker notes.
  4. Use editing techniques to modify and format presentations.
  5. Use AutoShapes to create graphics.
  6. Use the insert feature to find and add clipart, sounds and media clips.
  7. Create charts, organizational charts, and tables.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing CISB 51 - Microsoft PowerPoint will be able to:
  1. create a visual slide presentation to include text, graphic objects, design theme, slide transition, and object animation.
  2. create a storyboard to assist them in the design and development of a visual presentation.
