CISB 21 Course Image
This beginning course gives the student an introduction to spreadhseet concepts using
Microsoft Excel.  Topics covered include:
  • formatting
  • formula and function use
  • charting
  • linking worksheets
  • pivot tables
  • macros
  • VBA code basics
The student receives hands-on instruction on a Windows-based personal computer.
(54 hours lecture;  54 hours lab;    Degree appropriate)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Analyze, create, edit and format various business-related spreadsheets.
  2. Use formulas and functions in worksheets.
  3. Effectively create and use charts to visually enhance worksheet data.
  4. Create and edit macros to make using workbooks easier for users.
  5. Display worksheets on the Web.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing CISB 21 - Microsoft Excel will be able to:
  1. properly format a worksheet, ensuring that it looks professional.
