CISB 13 Course Image
This beginning course gives the student hands-on instruction using the Microsoft Windows Operating System to manage files, folders, and disks.   The student learns how to personalize the Windows environment, use the Search feature to locate files, and browse the web using Internet Explorer.
 
(27 hours lecture;  27 hours lab;    Degree appropriate, CSU)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Create and manage folders on a disk.
  2. Manage and organize files on a disk.
  3. Customize the Windows environment.
  4. Locate files and folders.
  5. Navigate the Internet.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing CISB 13 - Microsoft Windows will be able to:
  1. properly configure Microsoft's operating system to stay secure while interacting with internetworks.
  2. properly manage files and folders using Microsoft's Explorer desktop application.
