This course covers the creation, perfection, and enforcement of security interests in
property. Unsecured creditors and their methods of enforcing rights and
obtaining judgments.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Analyze the creation of security interests.
- Describe the circumstances under which it is necessary to properly file a lien in order to perfect the security interest.
- Delineate creditor rights upon default.
- State priorities of claims for a variety of secured and unsecured parties.
- Discuss the scope of the Uniform Commercial Code articles regarding perfection, certificates of title, leases, and interests in real property.
- Determine limitations on creditor behavior, debt avoidance, and fraudulent conveyances.
- Propose solutions to facilitate post-judgment collections.
