This course covers laws relating to the formation of contracts. The course
includes study of the statute of frauds, third-party rights, liability for breach of
contract, remedies, discharge, and the Uniform Commercial Code.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Determine a party's intent to be bound by a contract using the objective theory of contracts.
- Differentiate between the various types of offers, and specify requirements for valid offers.
- Compare the various types of acceptance and and determine at what time an acceptance is valid.
- Describe means to determine adequacy of consideration.
- Demonstrate knowledge of circumstances that will constitute an unenforceable contract, including minority, legality, capacity, mistake conditions and the statute of frauds.
- Summarize appropriate remedies for breach of contract.
- Identify examples of the applications of the Uniform Commercial Code requirements for contracts for the sale of goods.
