Analysis of the law of torts including intentional torts such as assault, battery,
false imprisonment, defamation, privacy, trespass and nuisance, negligence, and strict
liability. Examination of insurance defense issues.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Classify and distinguish the various types of intentional torts.
- Analyze and evaluate the tort of negligence.
- Examine and criticize the doctrine of strict liability.
- Assess appropriate defenses to intentional torts, negligence and strict liability claims.
- Determine and evaluate the nature of damages involved in intentional torts, negligence and strict liability claims.
- Draft and prepare pleadings.
- Draft and prepare discovery.
- Synthesize and analyze case law.
- Evaluate and assess relevant issues regarding insurance defense.
