PLGL 35B Course Image
This course covers the use of the personal computer for special purposes in the law office; includes the drafting of pleadings, legal research, document control, preparation of billing, law office and case load management, and tax reports.
 
(54 hours lecture;      Degree appropriate)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Define computer terms and explain how to edit various legal documents on a computer.

  3. Prepare and edit legal documents.
  4. Develop a form document.
  5. Evaluate and implement automated legal research systems.
  6. Integrate legal research with draft documents.
  7. Create legal bills in accordance with defined legal billing standards.

Students completing PLGL 35B - Automated Law Office Procedures will be able to:
  1. successfully prepare a simple motion.
  2. successfully prepare a client letter.
