Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Identify laws relating to discovery.
  2. Demonstrate ability to prepare depositions and interrogatories.
  3. Apply knowledge of correct procedures for and preparation of law and motion documents.
  4. Define injunctions and writs of attachment and describe their uses.
  5. Identify grounds for entry of a summary judgment and preparation of a motion for summary judgment.
  6. Compare and contrast knowledge of the basis for requests for voluntary and involuntary dismissals.
  7. Evaluate essential elements of pre-trial settlement procedures.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing PLGL 33B - Civil Procedure - Trial and Post-Trial will be able to:
  1. distinguish among the various discovery tools including depositions, interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  2. prepare a basic motion.
