This course presents the principles of business law emphasizing commercial paper, agency, partnerships, corporations, bankruptcy, regulation of trade and real property.
 
(54 hours lecture;      Degree appropriate, CSU, UC)

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Identify a negotiable instrument.
  2. Evaluate the defenses to negotiable instruments.
  3. Analyze agency and partnership principles.
  4. Distinguish the need for the corporate form of organization.
  5. Identify administrative agencies and problems relating to consumer protection, environment, antitrust, bankruptcy and labor relations.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing BUSL 19 - Advanced Business Law will be able to :
  1. distinguish between various forms of business organizations.
