An inter-disciplinary study of how people work and relate at the individual, group and organizational level. Students will develop an understanding of motivation, team work, leadership skill and how to handle organizational change.

- Define organizational culture, socialization and mentoring.
- Analyze social perception.
- Review motivational theories related to organizational behavior.
- Demonstrate improving performance with feedback, rewards and positive reinforcement.
- Analyze organizational life cycles and design.
- Evaluate effective conflict and negotiating strategies.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:
Students completing BUSM 60 - Human Relations in Business will:
- have discovered new knowledge that relate to discipline, technical and human skills, enabling them to be productive members of the community.
- have developed a genuine professional interest in topics related to the courses completed that will contribute toward motivation for life-long learning.
- have developed the ability to relate material from each course completed to their current and future professional needs, even if these needs fall into a different discipline.
