This course covers the history and evolution of thought in Continuous Quality Improvement,
including the theories and methods of Deming, Juran and Crosby. The quality
management process and tools for the continuous improvement of quality are presented.
Relevant case studies are included.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Define and outline the key principles of continuous quality management.
- Contrast quality management theory and previous management thought.
- Discuss and distinguish key differences between the theories of the three leading quality management theorists: Deming, Juran and Crosby.
- Describe the management paradigm and contrast with traditional management theory.
- Identify the six steps in the quality management problem solving process.
- Describe and explain the quality management tools and techniques for process improvement in an essay.
- Identify and compare quality management performance standards and evaluation methods.
- Define the role of computer information systems in quality management.
- Define the six sigma methodology for problem solving.

Students completing BUSM 10 - Principles of Continuous Quality Improvement will:
