Computer networking is one of the five fastest growing occupations today and
arguably one of the most important jobs in the technology industry. Computer
network professionals are expected to keep the routers, servers and networks of entire
companies running quickly, efficiently and securely. That's why over the last
ten years, few careers have experienced the kind of job and salary growth of computer
networking and telecommunications.
The telecommunication industry is expected to continue to grow as demand increases for
cable and high-speed Internet in previously unserviced locations, and as local telephone
companies upgrade their lines in response to increasing competition.
Telecommunications is a huge and growing industry. Opportunities are great in
a wide variety of companies that make hardware and software and provide services that

CIS Professional Certificate in Networking (E0716)
This curriculum is designed to help students develop skills to administer and manage
the heterogenous corporate network. The courses examine and illustrate
communication protocols with various industrial leading network operating systems.
The main objective of the certificate is to integrate and enhance
knowledge for network administration. However, individual courses may
assist students in preparing for related certification exams.

CIS Professional Certificate in Telecommunications (E0718)
This certificate is designed for returning CIS professionals with several years
experience or current students who have completed several CIS courses.
This program will prepare the student to develop a fundamental understanding of
local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and telecommunications.
