Professional Profile:

Saxophonist Jeff Ellwood is the Director of Instrumental Jazz Studies at Mt. San Antonio College. He has taught previously at Riverside Community College and Cal State Fullerton. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Berklee College of Music and Master of Music degree from Cal Sate Fullerton. He has studied with James Moody, Rick Margitza, Billy Pierce, George Garzone, Hal Crook, Gary Foster, Eric Marienthal, James Rotter and Charles Richard.

Mr. Ellwood has shared the stage with Tony Bennett, James Moody, Joe Zawinul, Randy Brecker, Christian McBride, Bob Mintzer, Eddie Daniels, Dave Grusin and Quincy Jones to name a few. He was accepted to attend The Henry Mancini Institute in 2002 & 2003 on a full scholarship. In 2005, he was the featured lead tenor with the Henry Mancini Alumni Big Band performing at the Jazz at the Lincoln Center concert in New York City. He can currently be heard performing with Alan Pasqua Jazz Collective.
