Mt. San Antonio College continues to support its student-veterans with plans to implement President Obama’s “8 Keys to Success.” Announced in August, the plan aids student-veterans in their effort to afford and complete their college degrees and certificates in preparation for jobs in high-growth sectors of the economy.
Mt. SAC has 1,800 student-veterans, making it one of the largest programs in the state.
“From our Veterans Resource Center that takes great care of our student veterans to our dedicated counseling assistance, we continue to foster the personal and educational growth of our returning veterans," Mt. SAC President Bill Scroggins said. "We’re proud to help our student-vets and we’re proud to strongly support President Obama’s new initiative.”

Nearly 40 percent of all California veterans receiving GI educational benefits attend a California community college for workforce training, to earn an associate degree or to work toward transferring to a four-year university.
