As of January 2017, Mt. SAC is transitioning to the Canvas learning management system (LMS).
The Faculty Center for Learning Technology assists Mt. SAC faculty with migration from Moodlerooms to Canvas through workshops and office hours. Please see the POD Calendar for workshops and office hour opportunities between now and June 26, 2017. Please note that Moodlerooms will close on June 28, 2017!
Moodlerooms basic training workshops are no longer being offered at Mt. SAC. If you are seeking LMS training, we recommend that you consider learning to use Canvas. Our campus is phasing out Moodlerooms at the end of June 2017.
Course Sites offers a basic homepage and online space where courses can be managed if a professor only needs files to be uploaded and downloaded by faculty and student, email, and calendar functions. Course Sites is automatically accessible for faculty to use through the Mt. SAC Portal, where current semester courses and student rosters are automatically available for use. Course Sites has fewer interactive options and features than the LMS. It supports few interactive elements and has no gradebook functions.
