  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

    Certified Nurse Assistants handle day-to-day care of patients. The short-term vocational education CNA program is state-approved and prepares students to work as an entry-level health care provider to patients in a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities.

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

    This short-term vocational Emergency Medical Technician program is intended to prepare students to become EMTs to work for an ambulance service or in related fire departments, hospitals, or other rescue services. This program is specifically for noncredit students who are seeking training in the public safety field for immediate employment. Furthermore, this program will also provide foundational skills and training for students to enter into more advanced public safety programs. Students must pass both core courses to earn the Emergency Medical Technician certificate.

  • Personal Care Aide

    This short-term vocational Personal Care Aide training program prepares students to become a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in 7-8 weeks. The program is designed to prepare students to assist elderly, disabled, or ill individuals living at home, in an assisted living facility, or at an adult day center.

  • Medical Assistant

    The short-term vocational Medical Assistant certificate prepares students for entry-level positions within administrative or clinical career paths. Students learn about the medical assistant scope of practice, tasks, and responsibilities, basic pharmacology for medical assistants, and medical front office operations. Topics also include a basic overview of major body systems and physiological processes, examinations and therapeutic modalities, laboratory procedures, and an overview of qualifications, training, and career opportunities for medical assistants.

  • Physical Therapy Aide

    This short-term vocational course provides students with a basic understanding of working in a physical therapy setting with patients who need rehabilitation from an injury or accident. The Physical Therapy Aide course includes medical terminology used in the profession. The course is approximately 6 weeks and is typically offered twice a year.

  • Pharmacy Technician

    This program prepares students to become a pharmacy technician in the hospital, retail pharmacy, and pharmaceutical development setting. This program is for noncredit students who are seeking training in the pharmacy technology setting for immediate entry-level employment. This program will also provide preparation for licensing, foundational pharmacy technology skills and training for students to enter more advanced pharmacy technology programs. Students must pass all courses to earn the Pharmacy Technician certificate.
