As a “new student”, Mt. San Antonio College Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSP&S) welcomes you! This section describes the various steps and appointments necessary to enroll at Mt. SAC and to begin receiving DSP&S services.
Complete an Application for Admission
to Mt. San Antonio College online at www.cccapply.org
Apply for Financial Aid online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov for possible assistance with covering costs of your college education.
Fill out an application for DSP&S services (PDF )and return it to the DSP&S office
At this time, written verification of your disability (PDF )should be brought in, a Release of Information form should be signed and submitted, and an appointment scheduled with a DSP&S Counselor or Instructional Specialist. Students must complete the entire application process and attend the intake appointment for DSP&S eligibility to be determined.
Complete the College Orientation
Students should complete assessment and have test results prior to participating in orientation. To schedule an orientation, please contact the Counseling Center by calling 909-274-4830 or in person at the Student Services Center. Completion of orientation is required before registering for classes.
Make an appointment with a DSP&S Educational Advisor or Counselor for interpretation of placement test scores and appropriate placement into classes.
Even if you qualify for Financial Aid or your fees are being paid by the Department of Rehabilitation, you must complete the registration process at the Bursar’s office. Fees are due at time of class registration.
Schedule an appointment with a DSP&S Counselor once verification of disability is approved by DSP&S to discuss educational barriers and possible accommodations.
Complete a written request for accommodations (PDF ) each term immediately after registration. Also, check in with your DSP&S Counselor at least 3 times each term discuss current progress, accommodations, and other issues related to your disability and education.
