About Dance

The Mt. San Antonio College Dance Program has received state-wide recognition for our programs, which are committed to developing versatile artists who excel in careers of performing, choreography and teaching.

Our renowned dance faculty fosters a challenging curriculum and provides individualized attention to students' training.  Accolades include 3 Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Awards, 4 Los Angeles Ovation Awards, Grand Prize at the Palm Desert Choreography Festival, and selection at the American College Dance Festival Gala.

Known for the high quality of its productions, the program provides opportunities to perform in two main stage productions and one informal production each year and an extensive annual guest master class series to provide an inspirational environment for students.  Our state of the art facilities includes two large dance studios, one well-equipped Pilates studio and the Sophia B. Clarke Performing Arts Theater.

Mt. SAC Alumni have transferred to esteemed colleges and universities, been hired as directors of High School dance programs, traveled the world on cruise ships and worked in the commercial dance industry in music videos and on television programs such as “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Glee.”
