Local Businessmen Join Mt. SAC Foundation Board
WALNUT, Calif.--The Mt. San Antonio College Foundation has announced the election of local businessmen Harry Borak of West Covina and Robert Kenz of Monrovia as new members of its Board of Directors.
The Foundation is a nonprofit community volunteer organization that provides scholarships and raises supplemental funds for Mt. SAC.
“As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on the expertise of our board to help us raise funds for the College, and we are pleased to add these two very skilled business leaders to our Foundation board,” said Foundation President Gary Ingham. “We appreciate their commitment to the future of our College and its students.”
Harold “Harry” Borak is President of Valley Insurance Service, located in Covina. He is the past president of the Covina Chamber of Commerce, the Covina Rotary, and the El Monte Chamber of Commerce. Currently he serves on the foundation board of Citrus Valley Health Partners and has been honored as “Citizen of the Year” by the cities of Covina and El Monte..”
Robert “Bob” Kenz is President/CEO of Kenz Corp., which operates two Robeks Juice shops in Monrovia and Chino Hills. He is a member of the Arcadia and Monrovia Chambers of Commerce and serves on the San Gabriel Valley Special Olympics Board of Directors.
Borak and Kenz join the Foundation’s 32-member volunteer board, which meets six times annually and works to support Mt. SAC’s priorities and better enable the College to serve students. Last academic year, the Foundation raised and donated more than $102,000 in scholarship funds and half the funds needed to purchase new planetarium equipment for the College.
