The Fab Four Opens a New Season at the Clarke Theater

WALNUT, Calif.—The Fab Four brings its ultimate Beatles tribute to Mt. San Antonio College’s Clarke Theater to launch the 2005-06 performing arts season on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m.

Wowing audiences around the world, The Fab Four performs music from every era of the Beatles’ ever-changing career, beginning with their appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show through Sgt. Peppers to the band’s ultimate breakup. Their precise attention to detail elevates The Fab Four far above every other Beatles tribute bands with uncanny, note-perfect live renditions of Beatles’ songs without any tapes, sequences or backing tracks. The Fab Four has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, CNN, the KTLA Morning News, and has worked with some of the largest movie and recording studios in Hollywood.

Tickets are $40 for box seats, $30 for general admission, $25 for seniors and Mt. SAC students and $20 for children under 12.

The Fab Four is one of three professional productions to highlight the new season. Other acts are Rhapsody in Taps on Feb. 11, Dick Dale, King of the Surf Guitar, on June 17, and nearly 50 student musical, dance and theatrical performances.

Mt. SAC to Offer 7-Week Bookkeeping Certificate

WALNUT, Calif.—Mt. San Antonio College’s Community and Noncredit Education Division will offer a unique hands-on bookkeeping course that allows students to earn a certificate in seven weeks. Classes will be held on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Sept. 10.

The Certificate in Bookkeeping program provides a core curriculum in the accounting/bookkeeping field, covering business structures, rules of debit and credit, cash vs. accrual accounting, processing payroll, handling W2 and 1099 forms, and much more. Students will receive hands-on training with journals, general ledgers, accounts payable, business taxes, and all aspects of bookkeeping.

The fee for the course is $596, plus a $65 materials fee payable at the first class meeting.
